RepDelve Privacy

The short version

You are exercising on your own judgement. RepDelve is a game that counts reps — it is not a doctor, a coach or a physiotherapist, and it cannot tell whether today is a day you should train. Read section 5 before you start. Everything below is the detail behind that.

Terms of Use

1. Agreement to these terms

RepDelve is operated by Exotecho, Inc., a company incorporated in Ontario, Canada, registration #1001404294, with its registered office at 145 ½ Church Street, Unit 5, Toronto, Ontario, M5B 1Y4, Canada (“we”, “us”, “our”). These terms are the agreement between you and us.

By creating an account or using RepDelve in any way, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service. Our Privacy Policy forms part of this agreement and explains what we hold about you and why.

2. Who can use RepDelve

You must be at least 16 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement. RepDelve is not designed or intended for children, and we do not knowingly keep accounts for anyone under 16.

You must not use RepDelve if we have previously banned your account, or if the law where you live prohibits it. Physical training carries risk at any age — read section 5 before you start.

3. What RepDelve is

RepDelve is a bodyweight training app dressed as a dungeon crawler. You calibrate once with a single set to failure, the app builds a programme scaled from that number, and each session is a run: sets as rooms, a rest timer between them, a boss at the end, and loot that attaches to a character sheet. Reps are counted by tapping the screen with your nose while the phone lies on the floor.

It is a training log and a game. It is not a medical device, a diagnostic tool, a supervised programme, a coaching service, or a substitute for any of those. Nobody reviews your training, your technique or your health on our side.

4. Your account and Google Sign-In

Accounts are created through Google Sign-In. RepDelve has no password sign-in form of its own, so the security of your account rests on the security of your Google account — keep it protected, and sign out on shared devices.

  • One account per person. Do not share an account, or let anyone else train on yours.
  • Calibrate honestly. The entire programme is scaled from the number you enter, so an inflated one produces sessions that are too hard for you — which is a safety problem, not just a scoring one.
  • Your name, email address and avatar come from Google and are refreshed from Google each time you sign in. Change them in your Google account and they follow on your next sign-in.
  • We may end your signed-in sessions at any time, for example while investigating a problem or a breach of these terms.

5. Health, safety and injury

RepDelve is not medical advice, and is not a substitute for a doctor, a physiotherapist or a qualified coach. It is software that prescribes exercise from a number you typed in yourself.

Get cleared first. Speak to a qualified professional before you begin, and especially if you have an existing medical condition, an injury, a heart or blood pressure condition, are recovering from surgery, are pregnant or postpartum, or are returning after a long time away from training.

Stop immediately if you feel pain, dizziness, faintness, nausea, chest tightness or shortness of breath. Do not train through it, and seek medical attention if it does not pass.

The app cannot see you. The programme auto-scales from your self-reported max. There is no camera, no form check, no spotter and no coach. It cannot tell whether your back is rounding, whether you are ill, tired or under-recovered, or whether the last rep was clean. If the number it scales from is optimistic, every session built on it is too.

Some of what it prescribes carries real injury risk if performed badly or loaded too soon — deadlifts and Romanian deadlifts, treadmill sprints, wall handstand holds, pistol squats, nordic curls, one-arm and clap pushups, jump squats and burpees among them. You are free to scale a movement down, swap it, or skip a session entirely. Do that rather than attempt something you are not ready for.

The safety-shaped features are conveniences, not guarantees. The onboarding quiz does ask what the programme should work around — wrists and shoulders, knees and hips, a fragile lower back, low energy or poor sleep — and that answer does rule some plans out entirely. The app also steers sessions away from muscles it estimates are still fatigued. Both are rough heuristics built from what you told us and what you logged. Neither knows anything about your actual body, and neither makes any movement safe for you on any given day. That judgement is always yours.

The protein figures are general information drawn from published population guidance and scaled by a bodyweight you may optionally enter. They are not dietetic advice, are not tailored to you, and should not displace advice from a doctor or a registered dietitian — particularly with kidney disease, diabetes, a history of disordered eating, or any condition affected by diet.

You train at your own risk. You are responsible for deciding whether any session, movement or load is appropriate for you today, and for stopping when it is not.

6. Acceptable use

While using RepDelve, you agree not to:

  • Fake reps, automate the tap counter, or otherwise record training you did not do.
  • Access an account that is not yours, or attempt to.
  • Probe, scan, overload or attack the service, or try to reach data you are not entitled to.
  • Scrape the service, or reverse engineer it except where the law expressly permits it.
  • Enter anything unlawful, abusive or infringing into the app.
  • Resell, sublicense, or present RepDelve as your own product.

Where we reasonably believe an account’s statistics have been fabricated, we may reset them.

7. XP, gold and loot

XP, gold, loot, rarities, dungeon tiers, badges and streaks exist to make training more fun. They are entertainment, and nothing else.

  • They have no monetary value. They are not currency, not property, and not a financial instrument.
  • They cannot be bought, sold, transferred, traded or exchanged for anything, inside the app or outside it.
  • There is no payment processing in RepDelve today. Nothing in the game economy is for sale.
  • We may rebalance, regrant, reduce, remove or reset any of it — including retroactively — as the game is tuned, and an administrator can reset the statistics on a single account or across the whole app.

Losing progress in the game layer is not the loss of anything of value and does not give rise to a claim. Your underlying training history is a separate thing, and we do not reset it casually.

8. What you put into the app

What you put into RepDelve is deliberately small: the name, email address and avatar Google passes us, your calibration number, your logged sets and sessions, your six quiz answers, the equipment you say you own, your loved and disliked movements, and — optionally — your bodyweight. Nearly every input is a number or a fixed choice; there are very few free-text fields, and nothing you enter is published anywhere.

You keep ownership of what you enter. You grant us only the licence we need in order to run the service: to store it, process it, and show it back to you. We do not publish it and we do not sell it.

Support staff with administrator access can read what is on your account, so as a general rule do not enter anything you would not want an administrator to see. Section 9 of the Privacy Policy sets out exactly what they can do.

9. Availability, and early software

RepDelve is early software. Expect bugs, wrong numbers, sessions that fail to save, downtime and the occasional loss of data. We offer no uptime guarantee, and we do not guarantee that a session in progress will be recorded.

The app caches its shell so that it opens offline, but a completed session has to reach the server to count. Train with no connection and the run may not be saved.

We may add, change, suspend or remove any part of the service at any time — plans, dungeons, exercises, the loot table, the whole game layer — without notice.

10. Suspension and termination

You can stop using RepDelve whenever you like. To have your account and training history deleted, follow the route described in section 12 of the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, that we reasonably believe is being used fraudulently, or where the law requires it. A banned account cannot sign in, and the reason for the ban may be recorded against it. Administrators can ban, unban, reset the statistics on, sign out, and delete an account.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination — the health disclaimer, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law — survive it.

11. Intellectual property and artwork

The RepDelve name, mark, interface, written copy, code, programme design and dungeon structure belong to us or to our licensors. These terms give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the service and nothing more. They grant you no right to our name or mark.

The item, boss and dungeon artwork is not ours. It was made by contributors to game-icons.net — among them Lorc, Delapouite, Skoll, Caro Asercion, Carl Olsen, sbed, Willdabeast and DarkZaitzev — and is used under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 licence. That attribution is carried in the app on the profile screen. If you reuse the artwork, you must keep the attribution and comply with CC BY 3.0 yourself.

The interface typeface is Instrument Sans, used under its own open licence.

12. Disclaimers

RepDelve is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent the law allows. In particular we do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that its rep counts, recovery estimates or protein figures are accurate, that it is appropriate or safe for you specifically, or that it will produce any particular result.

Training outcomes depend on things we have no visibility of — your history, your technique, your sleep, your nutrition, your genetics. Nothing in the app is a promise of a result.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions. Where that is so, this section applies to the maximum extent permitted there, and your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, for lost data, for lost training history or game progress, or for loss of profit, revenue or opportunity.

Our total liability to you for any claim connected with the service is limited to the amount you have paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim. RepDelve is currently free, so that amount is nil.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Subject to that, you accept for yourself the risks of physical training described in section 5.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, the “last updated” date at the top of this page changes, and the new version applies from the moment it is published. Where a change is material we will make it visible in the app.

RepDelve sends no email of any kind, so we cannot notify you that way — this page is the place to check. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in it, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute — except that if you are a consumer you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections where you live, and any right to bring proceedings in your local courts.

16. Contact

Questions about these terms, about your account, or about anything else go to contact@exotecho.com. There is no in-app contact form today, so email is the only route.
